How do I place an order?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s easy! <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Create an\u00a0account and select “Ship to Me” as your pick-up store. Or,\u00a0if you’re already logged in to your existing account, click “Edit account” and change your pick-up store to “Ship to Me.”<\/li>\n
  2. Search our web site for an item that you want, and click \u201cadd to cart\u201d next to that item.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Click \u201ccontinue shopping\u201d to search for\u00a0more items to add to your cart.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Once you\u2019ve finished adding items to your cart, s<\/span>ubmit your payment and shipping information.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Is my payment information secure?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Yes.\u00a0 <\/span>We’ve integrated our site with PayPal, which maintains the very highest security standards for processing payments. Sound Exchange never sees, nor does it store, your credit card information.<\/span><\/p>\n

    What payment methods are accepted? <\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    You may pay using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit card, Venmo (from your phone), or PayPal.<\/span><\/p>\n

    What can I expect when ordering used items?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Please read\u00a0our\u00a0Online Guarantee \/ Return Policy for items shipped from Sound Exchange<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 We guarantee that all items are going to play properly and completely<\/strong>, as laid out in this policy.\u00a0 All items have\u00a0their case and graphics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can expect that the\u00a0condition of the disc (CD\/DVD\/Blu-Ray\/game)\u00a0will be excellent to like-new.<\/p>\n

    You can expect that the condition of an\u00a0item’s packaging\/graphics will range from very good to like-new.\u00a0Note that all CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray cases have our barcode sticker on them.\u00a0 In most cases the sticker can be easily removed, but you may have some\u00a0adhesive\u00a0residue.\u00a0 Minor cosmetic issues you may encounter include, but are not limited to, small corner dents,\u00a0 other stickers, or someone’s initials written on the packaging of an item. DVDs\/Blu-Rays may not have a\u00a0cardboard slipcase over the plastic case.\u00a0 CD jewel cases are not new.\u00a0 If this is not acceptable to you,\u00a0we encourage you to stick to purchasing new items.<\/p>\n

    We provide a grade in the listings for used vinyl records. Please familiarize yourself with our grading scale<\/a> and know that the grade is for the vinyl itself, not the jacket.<\/p>\n

    We only accept defective returns, as defined in our Online Guarantee\u00a0\/ Return Policy for items shipped from Sound Exchange<\/a>. Defects must be pinpointed by the customer and will be verified by us on our equipment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    How long will it take for my order to ship?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    The answer depends on where your items are located.\u00a0 <\/span>If the item you order is listed under \u201cAvailable in-store,\u201d then we have that item in stock at the store listed next to that item.\u00a0 <\/span>All of our items ship out of our Tampa store, so if you order an item located at the Tampa store, your order might even ship the same day.\u00a0 <\/span>If the item is at the Pinellas store, it will take from 0-3 days to get to the Tampa store to be shipped. (We transport items between the Pinellas and Tampa stores three days a week.)<\/span><\/p>\n

    If the item you order is listed under \u201cAvailable for Special Order,\u201d that item will likely take 2-5 days to arrive to us before we can ship it to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Please note:<\/strong> <\/span>We send a single shipment once your entire order<\/b> is compiled, not piece by piece.<\/span><\/p>\n

    How do I track my order? <\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    When you are logged in to the site, click on Track My Orders & Reservations (in the menu near the top of the screen). There you can see details about your open and fulfilled orders.<\/span><\/p>\n

    What’s the difference between an order and a reservation?<\/h3>\n

    It’s an order if you paid for it on our web site and are having it shipped. It’s a reservation if you will be paying for it in the store and picking it up there.<\/p>\n

    Is your entire inventory available for purchase on the website?\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

    You can see 60,000 items, but that\u2019s not quite everything. \u00a0We have thousands of additional items in our stores that are not viewable here on the website: vinyl records under $9.99, books, comics, cassettes, 8-tracks, reel-to-reel tapes, magazine back-issues, action figures under $9.99, budget bin CDs and DVDs, etc.<\/p>\n

    We also have items that do appear on the web site, but are not available for shipping. This includes all of our vintage stereo equipment, as well as the newest arrivals.<\/p>\n

    Why did it take you so long to start shipping, anyway?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    For\u00a0over 30 years, our philosophy at Sound Exchange has been that we are a local store, here to serve local customers in the Tampa Bay area.\u00a0 <\/span>In order to maintain the broadest and highest-quality selection possible for these customers, we had always chosen not to open up our inventory to a larger market.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    However, when the COVID pandemic led to the temporary closure of in-store shopping in the spring of 2020, we invested in an online payment and shipping integration.\u00a0 We continue to offer our local customers first shot at all of our newest inventory by making items available for shipping only once they’ve been in the store for at least 30 days.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
